For our second day in Nha Trang we decided to spend a day on one of Nha Trang’s many islands, Hòn Tằm. For about $26 per person we got a round-trip ferry ride to the private resort and a single use of the jet ski or parasail. The entrance fee and lunch were included.
Located near the pier on one side of the island is a preserved rural manor house that dates back at least a hundred years. Accessories and decorations have been added by the resort to show what life looked like a century ago.
We wrapped up the day with 2 (!) rounds of dinner. Well, I count the first one as appetizers anyway. One of the best things about being in Vietnam is how easy (and cheap) it is to eat and eat. And since food is so abundant, one does not feel the need to eat a lot of it, as there is always the next sidewalk food stall around the corner.
We’ll miss Nha Trang, and our friends, for sure. The city is beautiful and serene, and it’s a shame we weren’t able to spend more time there.
